Lilly Zhang, Ph.D., HCLD
Dr. Li “Lilly” Zhang, M. Sc., Ph.D., HCLD, is an expert in reproductive technologies and highly advanced reproductive systems.
Dr. Zhang graduated from Beijing Normal University in 1982 and received her Master’s Degree in Reproductive Physiology from Chinese Academy of Agriculture Sciences in 1986. Thereafter she joined the research team in the bio-engineering department, Chinese Academy of Agriculture Sciences and later became primary investigator for the In-Vitro Fertilization Project of the “National 869 Scientific Research Program.”
In 1989, Dr. Zhang joined Cornell University’s research team for animal In-Vitro Fertilization and animal cloning. In 1990 she continued her research at Louisiana State University under the direction of Dr. Robert Godke, Ph.D. During her time at LSU, Dr. Zhang studied Bovine Oocyte In-Vitro Maturation (IVM), In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF), In-Vitro Culture (IVC), and embryo cryopreservation, which resulted in the first live birth of calves after transfer of frozen-thawed IVD/IVF/IVC embryos to recipient animals in the United States.
In 1994, Dr. Zhang received her Ph.D. in Reproductive Physiology from Louisiana State University. Soon after, Dr. Zhang become the Clinical Embryologist for the Baylor Center for Reproductive Health, Dallas, TX., and currently serves as Laboratory Director for the Fertility Center of Dallas, Dallas, TX.
With more than 20 years of clinical experience, Dr. Zhang is considered an expert in the field of reproductive technologies and has published over 30 articles and abstracts in peer-review journals.
